I've done the pedal mod. It was a carry-over from my 96 Ford Ranger. I found some roll pins at the local hardware store. They work great.

I've done quite a few of those mods... most I learned about on that site..

1. Removed Air Silencer
2. Installed K&N
3. Installed Pro-chamber
4. Installed White Face Gauges
5. Used the Instrument Cluster Diagnostics Feature
6. Installed a Shift Light
7. Removed Orange Reflector form my Headlamps
8. Lowered Wiper Arms
9. Added a Woofer to my Mach 460 System

I've used a few of them too. The white face gauge install was very helpful. I read it and basically memorized it be4 i did the actual install so I wouldnt mess up.
