i know the interior dimensions of the 05' stang, but does anyone know firsthand if a tall person (6-2 or taller) can actually fit in the driver's seat?

Yes, I am 6'1, I sat in it with plenty of room, I've also heard people on this board who are around 6'4 who also said the same

It really depends on your comfort level I would think. I am 6'2" and I fit pretty comfortably in my 2003 Cobra Convertable with the top up, but not in an '03 hardtop Cobra. Now, based on interior dimensions I have read the front seats of the new '05 hardtop mustang have slightly more leg and head room then my '03 Cobra vert, so I don't think it would be a problem. However, I do know some 6'-6'3" people who feel uncomfortable in my car in the front seat, so they probibly would feel uncomfortable in the new stang. Your best bet is to go sit an an '03 or '04 convertable and see how you like it, as the sizes are pretty close.

I am one of the 6'4 people who sat in it and I had more then enough room. The interior is huge compared to what we have now. You will have no problems.

EDIT: I guess I should mention that I did have to play with the seat's settings for about a minute to get it right. Once it was set right I had plenty of room

I'm 6'2. The 05 GT I sat in had more headroom and had a lot more leg room than my '01 GT.

Plenty of room.

But I'm only 5'1" hahaha.. but everything was in my reach and i could easily shift the car.

But from much taller people... I've heard the same response when we were all at the Innovation Drive.

6'2"...is not all that tall. Should be no reason to not physically fit in it or most any other car for that matter. Now if you were say 7' or close to it, then I would be concerned.

Well, 6'2" is above average for height. I'm 6'0" and am comfortable in most cars, however, i wanted to get a Jetta for a station car and didn't like driving it. The top of my head would actually touch the headliner....it was rather annoying to say the least. So, i'll continue driving my '73 Duster as my go-to car.

I'm 6'2" and fit very well in the '05. Roomy, comfortable and good drivers position.
