My Kids 3 and 5 would rather ride in Daddy's Stang than in Mommies Sedonna (Kia Minivan). Because daddies car is faster. Since I bought it my kids play a game where they see who can find the most mustangs driving around. They Love it.
Not quite, Roger, although the new Mustang has 1/2" more front seat headroom, it actually has 1/2" less rear seat headroom (35.0" vs. 35.5") according to Ford dealer order guide.
I'm only 6' and find that driving the current GTs is uncomfortable.
Maybe its partly due to ergonomics and not purely based on size.
I should go test drive an '05 someday and see how they compare.
There's no way i'm hauling my kids in the Mustang. I'll leave that to the mini-van. I'll take one for a quick spin to get ice-cream or perhaps a night out with Dad at the local car meet !! They all can get a ride in the '66 Fairlane though!
I know you love your kids, but this car is for YOU. The kids will love seeing their pictures ten years from now and say "gee, Dad, you had this great car?, wow, I wish you had kept it to give to me. "
Okay, I have a 01 Mustang GT. Hubby and I think we'll probably be doing the "kid" thing in the next year or two. He's got a Z28. He's willing to sell the Z28, and let me keep the Mustang, since he even admit the ride is nicer in the Mustang. Ford knows how to give comfort and performance... anyway, I digress... So, I take it that the Rear-Facing child seats won't fit in the GT back seat.
If anyone has a rear-facing child seat that does fit... can you post the name and make of it?
Here's the question. He wants a truck. Will a F-150 SuperCrew fit the rear-facing child seat nicely? We really don't want to break down and buy a four-door front-wheel drive family car, and there isn't any way I'm driving a mini-van. If anyone has experience with the quad cab F-150's, let me know.
I have a '95, and an Evenflo Discovery rear-facing, 5-20 lbs car seat will fit in the rear passenger side nicely... just make sure the passenger seat isn't reclined or scooted way back.
By the time our kid outgrew the Discovery, she was old/big enough to sit in a forward-facing seat.
