I have two small paint chips that I'd really like to do something about. One is on the A-pillar on the driver's side - down to the primer - about the size of a ball point pen tip. The other is on the very front of the hood - down to the bare metal - about 3mm in size.

Being on an '07 I just picked up, they are annoying the heck out of me. Any thoughts on where I can get the proper paint (ie. dealer??)? What about process to apply?

Any and all tips are welcome and would be appreciated. Thanks!

Many places sell the touch up paint in small bottles with the brush. I bought mine at Wal Mart(for the grill)for about $5. Don't know if they would have an '07 color or not. I've never applied it to a vehicle before so as far as technique, I won't be able to tell you any different than the directions on the bottle. As far as I know, you clean the area, dab the paint on just enough to fill the chip and let it dry. As far as clear coating it

Perhaps you can post this question over here.

If you bought new, your dealer should be willing to give you a bottle. Ford used to send them out in the mail. That was good PR. I don't think they do that anymore. But my parts guy has always given me one free. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I'd complain to my salesman. A free bottle is the least they can do.
