Dunno if its serious or not, I haven't messed with any of the factory settings just put bolt-on's in it. So far I've done a Mac Cold air (fender wall), BBK Under drive pulleys, BBK off-road x-pipe, and a Flowmaster 2 chamber cat back. I never used to smell it before but if I have the hood open and I hit the gas (via tb) I can smell it a bit. I'm thinking I may need to tune it soon on the dyno jet (never gone) maybe thats my problem . I thank you all for such a big help you all have been I really appreciate the input.

okay this might not really help you , but i'll share it anyways.Let me ask you this first..what does it smell like?
Because my car runs great , and i have the mods you have plus some more nothing major though. And i always smell this funny smell , almost like plastic burning but only at WOT.and i dont have to pop the hood , i smell it inside the car. I always thought it was coming from my MustangTuning o/r X pipe.See , when i had my stock H pipe a plastic bag got stuck to it, and when the pipes got hot , i got that smell . And now even though i replaced the whole Mid pipe i still get that smell .But only under WOT. Odd huh?

Its not uncommon to get a plastic bag stuck on the exhaust Hppened to me 3 months ago. Even after I removed the bag it still had the smell for 2 weeks. Until the rest of the burnt plastic burned off.

Thats not a good combo...

The gas may be due to the offroad midpipe. No cats to clean emissions up, means a little unused gas is getting out of the pipes. You shouldnt be able to smell it UNDER the hood though, just a small whif from the exhaust.

As far as plastic, thats not good either. Could mean something is getting too hot for its own good.
