Smog Delete Guys: What belt size are you running

OK, like the subject says, what size belt is everyone running with thier smog pumps bypassed? I've done a search on this and found about 3 different sizes hat people are using. I was just trying to get an idea of what is the most popular. If I go to autozone and buy all 3 will they let me return the 2 I don't need.

Just to make sure I understand the belts numbering on lets say 895k6, the 895 stand for an 89.5 inch long belt, and the 6 means it a six rib. Should I just tell the guy at the parts store I need an xx.x inch 6 rib serpentine belt, or give him the PN#? I;m kinda belt dumb, so sorry if this seems obvious.

Yes, 895k6 stands for 89.5" long and 6 rib. I'm running the 905k6 on my car but now the belt has stretched a little and I can hear my tensioner hitting every now and then. There was no way the 895k6 was going to fit on my car. I think the 900k6 would be your best bet for this one but discount autoparts doesnt carry that size and I wasnt going to drive 30minutes to an autozone to pick up one. If you have any doubts if the belt will fit or not, take some tools and change it in their parking lot with them out there with you. If it fits perfectly, go back in and pay for it, if it's too big get a smaller one.

90" with March Underdrives. Just try a bunch until you find the one that's just right...that's what I did.

I have the 895k6 on mine. The guy at NAPA said it actually measured a little shorter than 89 1/2"s. And yes, tell the number they know like 895k6.

yeah, i have a 895k6. I just took string and measured it. It did come out a little under 89.5.

Do you two that run the 895 have UD pullies on your car? There was NO way that I could even pry that size onto my car, and even the 905 seemed like it was a little tight at first.

Yep, all 3, FRPP U/D pullies. 895k6 was actually just a hair loose, but still had tension on it good.

89.5" was WAAAYYYY too lose on mine. It actually threw it off and kept shredding it.

Could not find a 89" anywhere...so I put on a 88.7" and although it was really tight getting it on (re: PITA), it fits snug now and works perfectly.

Well I just talked to someone from my local autozone on the phone, and I can just buy a couple sizes and return whichever ones I don't use. I think I'll start with the 895, 900, and 905 and go from there.

Something doesn't seem right here.
We have used 895k6 most of the time and sometime even a little bit smaller. (can't remember the smaller size)

We did (5) 94-95 gt's like this and all had underdrive pullies and all worked perfectly with this setup.
I can't imagine Ford production tolerances are this bad.

Maybe the belt routing isn't correct. Is this how you're routing it?
