Think a shorter belt is around $30.00 and the pulley is around $50.00. I just ran a shorter belt.

Just run the shorter belt and keep the pump handy, you never know when you will need to pass emissions!...Or just sell it on ebay!

why would you want to take off the smog pump? It helps w/ emmissions, improves mileage, and de-activates at WOT. The only con is the space and weight it takes up.

people "think" that the smog pump eats up 15hp from the engine for some reason? Me, I removed it for weight and I don't have cats and don't need to pass emissions.

unbolt it. three bolts hold it in. then take out the two lines that run above the passenger side header. disconnevt them from the back of the heads. plug the heads. and call it a day

it's easy but kinda frustrating on mine the bolts were super tight and once their all off. You have to just grab twist a little and finese it out, thats the only pain in the ass is taking it off you slowly just have to work it back and fourth..goodluck

fwiw, im not sure if it is different on a fox but i had to take off six bolts. i had to take the pulley off the pump before i could slide the top bolt out. are the accesories on the fox motor in the exact place as the sn95. im pretty sure they are different but i could be wrong and just wanted to be sure.

How do you run a shorter belt? The belt would hit the tensioner

smog pump delete pulley. looked good.I deleted mine because mine's pumps or bearings made a really loud whining noise. also worked good with the under drive pulleys!

Pulley.....I have to have it for my blower. I would use the pulley anyway. Makes getting a belt a lot easier.
