smog pump eliminator?

what exactly does the smog pump do? is it worth removing? does this affect driveability? do you gain any power from removing it? any help is greatly appreciated. sorry for all the q's guys,im a nooB with these 94-95 stangs...

It's a weight reduction mod more than anything. I ditched mine and still pass sniffer. You won't be able to pass under-the-hood check though, so be aware of this if you go ahead with the mod.

Agreed. If you spin it by hand, you can see how easily it spins.
If you have the stock H pipe, I'd keep it around.

my car is registered in new mexico and they dont have emissions testing so im good to go. so in yalls opinions is it worth removing?

If u don't have cats then it serves no purpose...get rid of it.

what kind of mid pipe do you have? if you have cats keep it if not ditch it.

yeah i am ditching mine as soon as i can find the time to take it off and go get a fitting for it to plug it up. someone has a writeup on it
