SMOG removal Questions

Can I remove my smog pump and just plug all the hoses leading to and from it? Will i have O2 sensor problems or anything like that? my current mods are in my sig. Also, will i need a new belt?

well, some say you can just weld the tubing closed off... but I don't personally believe that's a good idea at all... if you were going to delete that, then just remove it from the entire car, pump, tubing, everything, save yourself that 50lbs... otherwise, just don't bother doing anything...

as I said, I know a few people who have crimped, bend, and welded the tube shut... but that is horrible for the pump... or you could bypass it, but then you have that weight... so it all depends on how dedicated a racer you are, and how much work you are willing to put into dropping .005 seconds :-D
