rubber bypass plug and some silicone. can be found in the "help" section of the parts store

I closed two of these. One time I just took a vice and crimped it shut, then a few months later my friend welded it shut.

I also took a high temp heater hose, put it on the end of the pipe and screwed a bolt into the other end to cap it.

If it's an off road x-pipe filling the tube with JB Weld and letting it cure will do the trick, if the x-pipe have cats you need that tube hooked up.

it is a off road pipe i am going to the the jb weld thing never even thought of that. thanks for the tips.

Crimp it and JB weld it will be perfect. Just crimping it took away the whistling for me.

Pypes and BBK told me that you can leave it open and it won't hurt anything if you can withstand the supple whistle it produces.
