Smog tubes and vacuum leaks

Hey everyone, whats the best means for getting rid of the smog tubes on the side of the heads? These tubes has seen better days. Any advice would be great, Thanks!

if i remember correctly i put freeze plugs in my 67 heads to plug them off
no longer have the car

Thanks for the replies! I'll try freeze plugs. Does anyone happen to know what size I need? I'm also debated going this route but prefer the freeze plugs.

You should be able to put 1 of those pocket chum calibers into the hole to determine the correct diameter.
