Quick Background: I just got a ported and polished Edelbrock Performer 5.0 Intake, BBK 65mm TB and Spacer, BBK Longtubes and off road H - Pipe from a buddy for 500 bucks and my stock 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me'...

Problem: Intake has a snapped bolt (upper to lower)which he ran with and had no problems but I dislike.

I bought an Easy Out tool and everything seemed fine until it snapped in the hole I drilled. Now I have the Easy out stuck in the bolt, which is stuck in the intake!! and everything is flush so I can't try to get a grip on it....

I'm broke after the 500 dollars, but it was an offer I couldn't refuse... so what should I do??

Thanx, Jason

You need the easy out - easy out (it's right next to the kiss me-kiss-me-kiss-me). If I were in your shoes, I'd pull the lower and get it to a machine shop. You may come up with something, but I think in the long run your chances of fixing it properly without doing more damage (and incurring BIG cost) are better if you take it to the machine shop. One of my heads had a valve cover bolt broken off in it -flush. I took the head to the machine shop; in about 2 minutes he center punched the stud, and then using the drill press he dropped a reverse-direction drill bit into the broken off stud. The minute the reverse bit hit the stud it started screwing right out. He charged me $5. There's no telling how long I would've tried those worthless ezouts or how much other damage I would've done. It's a world of experts out there - time to pay 'em and let 'em do what they do.

Definitely get it over to a machine shop. They can mill it out and you'll be fine. Probably cost ya' a 100 bucks.
