Hey, does anyone know how to replace the antenna base on a 2000 mustang convertible. It seems the last time I brought it to a car wash the guy who put it back on cross threaded it, and the other day when I went to take it off I snapped in. Any help would be great. Thanks

I would guess you could try ebay, a wrecking yard or the ford dealer in your area?

If it's the female base, you could drill and tap for an aftermarket shorty, they usually give you several different size adapters. The female base is on a hundred different ford vehicles, just go to a yard and remove one.

On my car, 98 GT, you pop the little black thing off the base, then there are screws that hold it on.

Really, that sounds really easy, I thought I might have to take the front wheel and inner fendor off. Is it the same antenna on your 98?

Thanks

You guys are all missing the point that he broke rule #1.

Never run your car through an automatic carwash.

At least they gave the courtesy of taking your antenna off before running it thru.

Just bustin your balls.
