Roush Snow performance

wierd to see this thread today...

i just got back from the dyno after spending the best part of 3 hours re-tuning my car to cope with the snow methanol kit i installed last week !!!!

I too picked up 40hp and 40 lbs/ft with good gains seen accross the board..

i mounted the pump on the rear of the front bumper mount and the boost variable pump controller on the fuse box lid.

the kit worked great, my intake temperatures dropped dramatically and picked up power straight away !! I tuned the car to run on meth at 12.8. I pulled out 2 deg from the borderline spark table (with my pro racer pack) to compensate for how much spark the IAT sensor was adding for the cooler air charge..

the car runs real strong now, just need some blower cams, headers and new mufflers (my saleen originals have finally rusted on the welds :( ) just a BIG shame that i cant get more than 9psi out of this old blower...... might have to stump up for a new one at some point...

Ill see if i too can get a dyno sheet up here...

Hi Josh,
Fill me in on some details please.

1) Are you running the EEC-V processor with the Saleen tune?

2) How much boost are you making?

3) Don't remove any fuel to get your A/F ratio down. I'd rather see you increase the boost from the blower or add more total timing.

4) Do you have any means of measuring EGTs?

I've seen cars like yours go as high as 26-28 degrees of total timing but I'd rather see you try 24-25 and get back to me with the results.

I hope this helps

ok i hate to sound like a new guy but i do not know what you mean by EEC-V processer. as far as boost know i am seeing in first gear i see 10-11 same in second third and fourth about 8lbs i am running the stock pulley. and also i do not know what you mean by EGTs sorry.

EEC-V stands for Electronic Engine Control - Fifth Generation. It is Ford's latest PCM (Powertrain Control Module).

EGT stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature.

Hi Josh,
If you didn't change anything with the computer than you have the EEC-V with a saleen tune. Granted you have a hand-held but you probably just add timing with it. I mean you can't re-write idle, WOT and cruise stratergies with that thing or can you?

See ya
