Hey guys i just picked up a mint 93 lx 5.0 and am lookin to mod. this is what i would like to do. Stock 302 shortblock, a nice set of afr 185 cc heads, Systemax upper and lower manifold, ford E-cam, 70mm tb, 75mm maf, 30lb injectors, 3.73's, full exhaust. what do you guys think of this set up, will it work nice?

i'd pick something other than an alphabet cam probably a comp somewhere around high 270s to low 280s advertised

30# injectors will be to much i've run 427 inch windsors with 30#s with out a problem

ok so how about the 24lb injectors, those will prb work fine right? anyone have any coments on the heads or manifold?

24lbers will be fine. afr's are great heads to get and the systemax II intake is the proven best power making 5.0 intake. there is nothing wrong with the e cam but you can make more power with a better suited cam with the whole combo.

making it a bad cam for the application ^^ id go with some nice long tubes, bassani x pipe and catback. MAybe save up for a really bullet proof low compression short block with a nice t-trim topping it off.

30's are EXACTLY what you want with that combo! I run 30's in my 302 set up. Theres better cams than the E303 for the record..
