I dont want to fork over $500 to get my car dyno tuned when I start doing stuff to it when I can buy a $400 tweecer and do it myself.

I wish there was a Tweecer rom or emulator that I could download for free and run from my laptop lol.

The tweecer software is a free download....

so you can download it and kinda play with it or at least search on the diff. functions and mess with them to kinda get a feel for it.

BTW-pay the extra for the R/T the base tweecer is...

well

worthless

I know someone who is selling an R/T for a decent price.

And when I downlaod the software Im guessing that I cant just get a cable to hook my car to my laptop. That would just be too easy.

the hardware is 2 cables and two box's. One box is the "chip" part that goes onto the computer. one of the cable's that is basicly a phone cable goes from the "chip" to a multi position knob. That multi knob is the 2nd box that you turn the knob to go to a diff. tune setting of the the settings is an off to turn off the tweecer and revert to the stock program. The second cable goes from the "chip" to the laptop.

Its a bit more than a single cable and not something that is easly pieced together unfortunalty...

However, the software is active after you properly install everything (there are a few things you must have to get it to work but they are avail. for download at the tweecer.com website). You can at least look at the tables, scalers, transfers and look at the starting guide to see what everyone is talking about.

I downloaded the software and played around with it before i got my tweecer when i was reading stuff about learning to use the tweecer. Made it a little easier to know how to navigate the software and stuff when i got it.

From my twisted way of thinking

The Tweecer software is not all that difficult IMHO

What takes some brain power and time is learning about your pcm so you will know WHY you would WANT or NEED to make a tuning change

Then again ... With the data logs ... You have a lot of data at your disposal which is always helpful
