wel i posted pictures a while back about my progress on the stang. the i later posted a story about my battery blowing up.....well i somehow caught the door on the fender and scraped 6'' or so of paint off my new paint job. Since im super picky i decided to redo my door jams(because that's what everyone looks at ) lol. Anyways i ended up repainting several small sections on the car. Then i prepped and cleared the entire care again, it was easier then clearing just the small sections) I have orange peel everywhere now. I tried messing with gun settings, the temp was right around 80* when i shot it. Im outta ideas except i now know i have to wet sand the **** out of it again...What can cause this ? I mixed it properly in the 4:1 ratio with the proper reducer, i tried changing settings, turn pressure up, turn it down..ugh im over it.

Wet sand it down and polish it out. Orange peel isn't the end of the world, but fortunately you can get rid of it.

See Paint Defects Solution Guide, Orange Peel | DuPont Performance Coatings - appp20.asp.dupont.com to find out why you have orange peel and prevent it next time you spray paint.

See Step By Step Orange Peel Eliminator - Mustang Forums at StangNet to fix the orange peel you already have.
