And as the title says I came back happy and disapointed at the same time. My home built motor being a stock botom end 302 from the junkyard didnt blow up thats good news:nice: The engine felt strong for running with the wide band at safe and steady 10.2-10.8 at WOT. It went a best of 12.6 at 115.5mph. I am pleased with only 8 lbs of boost.

The bad part was it did not ET as well as I had hoped for. Granted it was on street tires and there were over 300 people in the staging lanes throughout the night.

I have a set of MT drag radials on weld draglites that I want to run, but I dont think the Ranger axles on my 5 lug will hold up so I am waiting for now. Would you be pleased with those numbers in a full weight GT with spare tire and all?? With that trap speed what would a car that doesnt 60 ft a 2.00 ET ?? I could not get the street tires to hook and spun hard. Just shoot me your thoughts. Thanks

thats dissapointing,
on an old 120k mile 93 302, i went 11.3 at 122 on 5 psi with an e cam and stock heads, in a 3200lb car with driver. it did have slicks on tenholes, and made 400 rwhp

You trapped 122 with the stock heads and just a blower set at 5psi? Your car is deff lighter. Notch>Hatch when it comes to that for the most part.

How the heck did you trap so high, whats your set-up.....I want it lol:rolleyes:

I have a custom chip from the last setup which is close but some things have changed. No dyno numbers yet and like I said these runs were with a A/F of 10.2-10.8 which is very rich and no advanced timing. It should be 400-420 to the wheels. I am happy with the overall results but just wanted too see what others have to say.

Your lucky, noone I have known has ever been close to those numbers on a cammed stocker with 5psi!

I agree with traction it will go faster. 11s might be tough, but with the right suspension and driving 115 mph will go 11s!

Round 2

Well I returned to the track last night and I was happy with the times.
This is how it went.
1.875 60ft
5.271
8.038 1/8th
88.95 1/8th mph
10.406
12.368 1/4
115.81 1/4 mph

This is more of what I expected to see. I ran street tires last time out and the only change was MT drag radials. Launch was at about 3000 rpm. Any higher with the rpm at launch it would spin. Track prep went south after a few runs with my car picking up a ton of rocks at the starting line. Overall this ended up being a good night. Just figured I see what you guys thought of the run. All of the other runs were crappy and learning how to launch on drag radials was a little harder than I thought.
