So for the trunk being 41 years old it didn't look to shabby... I've been wirebrushing it.

Just how far am I supposed to bring that rust down?... here's what it's looking like after a bout of wirebrushing. Do I keep going until every speck of rust is all gone down to bare metal?

And oh yeah... while I was wire brushing my left trunk panel I didn't really pay attention to this little beads... apparently they were putty or spot weld beads covering pinholes... so now I have a pinhole cause I brushed one off. (See pic) The POR-15 trunk repair kit I got has a tube of putty filler I can just fill that tiny hole with as long as I don't knock off the other ones.

Looks like your ready .Apply a thin coat and allow to dry then apply a second you shouldnt have any problems.Never used por filler but have heard its good stuff.Ive got por 15 that dripped on my garage floor over 5 years ago and doubt it will ever come loose.
