Don't feel bad. I owe a steak dinner to one of the guys in our club. He beat me in his Z71...has a 6.0 with a big ass cam and spraying. He runs 12's.Boo hoo, at least you lost to something respectable.
I had a lifted Z71 beat me off the line, and I didnt start passing his ass untill 3rd gear. Damn rednecks and their worked over trucks. He had a 4wd launch advantage, but he was packing some power in order to hold me off for two gears.
If it had a big square wing, it was an STi and you're supposed to lose to it.
If it was a WRX, those are easily modded and losing to it isn't the end of the world.
Get some mods and get over it.

he prob gave you the launch and if your pissed about that you def don't want to run a str4 neon.your starting at a disandvantage from the start forced induction fourbangers are easy to mod and done cheaply also pull the cat run full exhaust $400 man boost controller and boost guage $70 little odds and ends tricks and you have an awd car running 300 to 320 to the wheels.those little cars are quick and you can never sight judge them.do a little digging.enjoy your mustang for what it is a nice american muscle car.if you want to race crack out the visa and go.
SRT4's aren't AWD....unless i'm just missing something as I hack through this example of what English teachers have nightmares about. JK
