so who all went to shelton friday??

me and mark went and saw a TON of mustangs. he ran his 82 GT on the strip 26 runs or so. i ran my moms 05 yellow v-6 25 runs. my cobra isnt running, so i had to settle for yellow. it was a fun day, and we saw some interesting rides. an ASC, a couple four eye saleens, a red 93 cobra, a couple of mystichromes, and some other sweet rides. so how many of you were there, and what did you bring??

As posted on SVTP, I was there in my 04 silver Cobra coupe d/d. I made five passes before my pro 5.0 shifter gave me a scare that I broke my tranny. Fixed the pro 5.0, tranny works fine, in the market for MGW now.

I went to the cruise and drag strip Friday and I spectated today, but didn't show. I've had a long 4-day weekend that started on Thursday with Ozzfest and was too exhausted to clean up the car to show-worthiness for today.

99 Cobra, 7 passes, 5 'wins'

Best time of 14.2/100MPH with passenger in car. Great stuff!

I ran 12.685 @ 114.23 mph for my best run, with a passenger and 3/4 of a tank of gas and street tires. I went 3/5...one loss was when I couldn't get any traction after the sun came out and the other guy had a 0.6 second jump on me in the 60 ft, which I cut down to < 0.5 by the 1/4. Second loss was a redlight, but my ET was faster than the other guy's.

I was there with my 06 Red Fire GT. Ran a 14.02 @ 99.2 mph. It was also my first time out at a track. I had a blast out there with all them Stangs. Besides, I was loving that the MC in the tower, was getting sick of saying Mustang in the left. Mustang on the right. Mustangs everywhere!

Yea. No helmets, roll bar requirements for verts ... it was crazy.

That would have been a great day to make some full out passes in my car without a bar.

I brought my helmet to have someone borrow it as I wasn't going to be racing.

Wow! No rules!! The irony is that the lack of traction would preclude any sub 11.49passes anyway. Sounds like drivers had a great time and that's what matters. Will that track be open again this year?

Just as a warning Tyler, I have now been warned by both tracks... I may be racing my truck next time.

I was there in our 07 GT.

Tree'd a 99 Cobra but red lighted...........0.01 light The Cobra ran a 14.177 @ 100.69 with RT of 0.378

Best time was 14.16 @ 95.76 with a RT of 0.120, 2.13 60'

Not bad for a auto car fully loaded and STOCK

Can you say a 13.8 car in cooler weather ???

Good times..........

I got that run on video with my passenger, but we were wondering why you were braking at the end?

Because of the red light, why keep running when you won ????

What mods did you have ???? Would love a re-match. LOL

It's still fun getting the car up to 100MPH in a legal manner

I am blessed with a drop in K&N filter and a weld in straight pipe. All else is stock. I'm also blessed with wheel hop launching and every shift for the entire day I'll have to redo my suspension before I head back down again. 100k miles of abuse has taken its toll...

All of my passes had passengers, no one cared.
