97/98 Mark VIII (LSC)
97 M3
99 Lightning
94/95 GT, hard to find in good condition it seems
Mystic 96 cobra (will have to be 2nd car though, dont want to DD a mystic)
yellow 98 cobra (have to check insurance rates first, same w/ mystic)
98-00 WS6 (hell fawking yes)
98-00 SS (would rather have ws6 though)

:Word:
mark 8=air ride=very pricey to repair
97 M3=slow(compared to your last 2 rides) and expensive to mod
99 lightning=worst of the 99-up lightnings(lowest power)
94/95 gt=way too cool for you j/k
mystic=fugly(imo)
yellow 98=cool, just swap in a mach1 motor and your in
98-00 f-body=worst ls1 you can get--non-ls6 intake and oil problems

so judging by these cars you are lookin in the 15-20k range. in that range, i personnally would get a 93-95 RX7. i would get one N/A and put a 3 rotor rotorary in it. i would choose this car based on the fact that it is completely unkown to me and would be a good challenge. also you can't go wrong with a car that weighs 2700lbs.

hmmm....never even thought about an rx7, maybe i'll look into supras too :D

And i wouldn't want to DD a mystic b/c i'd be scared i'd mess up the paint some how....or something like that

And i'm really not looking for a fast car neccessarily, the speed bug came and left

EDIT: holy crap, supras are EXPENSIVE :(

Super will be back when he sells his car to buy another one

To think I actually wrote that a little over a week ago :rlaugh:
You go through cars like I go through toilet paper, my dad is the exact same way, he wants me to sell my car but i just cant unless I can get my hands on a GTO thats the only way I would sell my car, but good luck with findin that car you'd like to hang onto for a while :nice:

a 3 rotary rx7 would be freakin sweet! N/A, those suckers put out LOTS of power--now imagine w/ TT!

seems there are very few of us that think this "mystic" paint is fugly nasty ghey.

ls1 would be cool, but i personally don't like gm's chitty interiors, especially on the f-bodies. then again, you've got a fast-ass car out of the box, so... i'd rather have the ws6 over the ss as it is one of the meanest looking cars ever.

good luck deciding.

I REALLY like the interiors in the ls1's....maybe i'm just weird
oh ya, the radio controls on the steering wheel is cool too

i really like GM interiors as well. i think they are styled better than a mustang. my 95 T/A had better seats, better stereo, better instrument cluster, better door panels, etc... yes it rattled, but show me a stang that doesn't.

if you look at RX7's, make sure you stay N/A. those motors don't last with a turbo. at least what i understand.

Well, that one didn't last very long :Teh-Win:
sold it on friday, dont miss it at all, although it was a badass car

Right now i'm driving my dads 'extra' vehicle, a 2001 ranger auto 3.0 2wd

can't decide what i want when spring rolls around, here's what i've narrowed it down to:

97/98 Mark VIII (LSC)
97 M3
99 Lightning
94/95 GT, hard to find in good condition it seems
Mystic 96 cobra (will have to be 2nd car though, dont want to DD a mystic)

I will sell you my Black 95 GT for the right price...:nice:

Bimmer --- NO 93-95 RX-7 came N/A. They were all sequential twin turbo from the factory.

I have a small, but secret, area of expertise in rotaries. I used to be in the rotary world before I was into the pushrod world .... where I'm trying to learn everyday. They're very simple to both understand and work on. Whoever said they don't react well to boost .... well, it's the opposite. Throw the right apex's in there & she'll take all the boost you can give her. I had an N/A ported 13B FI rotary in my RX-7. They're geared from 3.90 to 4.30 from the factory .... due to the lack of torque. Most are swapping in front diffs. from Kia Sportage's that have a 4.67 gear (direct swap). Anyway, they're fun cars. The only downside is the longevity. Your typical rotary WILL NEED TO BE REBUILT before the 100K mile mark. The good part about that is that it is EXTREMELY easy (nothing like a regular engine). I've seen the guys at Rotorsports Racing take an engine out, completely rebuild it, & put it back in, in less than 8 hours. There are more problems out of the turbos than the engine itself.

After I get my '69-'70 fastback finished .... I WILL have a 3rd gen. RX-7. It will be a 20B 3 rotor triple turbo setup.

These cars are sex on wheels .....

I agree with the rx-7 idea. I had an 85 (1st gen) 2-rotor RX-7 and it was a lot of fun to drive. It was N/A with a carb, and it was pretty slow but still a lot of fun to drive. If I had the money, I would love to build up a 3rd gen.

I like the steering wheel controls, not having a hood prop like Mustangs, an antena that isn't always up, turn knobs on the stereo, t-tops that are like a hardtop and vert, not as many on the road, 29-30 mpg highway, the shifter position, the stereo position, kinda seems more like a muscle car, t56(pretty strong trans).

I don't care the noise when you shut the door with the window down(clang), leather isn't the best(true for Mustangs as well), harder to work on compared to a 5.0, 10 bolt is weak, slow windows, cheap stock speakers.

The potential kinda makes up for all the weak points....heads/cam and you can run low 11's, spray a little n20 and you have a deep 10 second street car without much effort. Forge the shortblock and up the spray and maybe run 9's. The cars are also pretty cheap--you can get a nice TA for 9-12k all day.

You forgot how it is to sit in one. the seats ae directly on the floor, and the windshield is soo swept back, its like your literally sitting in a strecher.

I mean they can be fast, but the SUCK to work on.

I would mention the seating position, but some people prefer that...more sporty feeling. Some say the Mustang sits like a truck and feels cramped. I'm use to both so neither one bothers me.

when i went from my t/a to the stang, it felt like driving a damn bus. i like sitting way down in the floor and as far back to the rear tire as possible.

i have always heard that turbo cars backfire and break the shaft that connects the 2 rotors. i wouldn't be worried about engine(apex seal) life so much as i am worried about the shaft.

i also thought the 220hp version was N/A and the 251hp version was turbo'd?
