I think everyone should own a BMW and experience the amazing driving sensation.....and also experience the pain and agony of all the BS you will put up with.

...I owned a BMW and went throught it all. I loved my BMW...and Also hated the bitch too

thanks guys. Well from a npi gt that had some issues to say the least to this m3 there is not a comparison anywhere. I will prolly own another stang later on but i will drive this over a 97 gt anyday. Drove a couple 03 cobras but i decided to go with a bmw instead. Im not all about speed actually the m is plenty fast enough and rides like a dream. Prolly will keep it pretty much stock.

I paid 30k even for it with 39k miles. I had a pretty nice down payment on it because of selling the bike and mustang and didnt owe on either. Plus i just got some graduation loot and i work 2 jobs 7 days a week.

Ill be sure to post up more pics soon.

And i dont plan on leavin stanget...this site is great!!:SNSign:

Congrats bro...I love the red, but im biased. I would get one, if I could ,in either red or yellow. Any color but that ugly teal blueish color, or boring silver. Definately a step up from a 97 GT. Still think i would rather have a terminator, although the M3 is a way better all around car. I bet she handles & rides like a dream.

what would make you say something stupid like that? the E46 looks better, handles better, brakes better, and has 93 more hp from the factory. oh wait, mods are more expensive. my bad, that would def cause me to buy an E36 instead

to the original poster - CONGRATS! on graduationg and the ///M3. my dad has an 03 in the same color, with the red leather and 19" wheels. the car is absolutely badass. he let me take it for a spin yesterday around town. great smooth power (lacks the tq my car has for sure though-4.10s), handles great, and 8k redline. i did notice when taking it around some turns that the brakes tend to fade quickly. if you can afford it, get some brembos, and wider tires. my pops put some 275 eagle f1 tires on there and they feel great. if i had that car, i would drop a few Gs on coilovers, swaybars, brembo rotors, tires and an exhaust and be set for a while

Blue book on it is 32k and it has not a scratch chip or ding anywhere. The interior looks brand new not a crack or wear mark in the leather. It was listed for 33k The original sticker on the car was 54k. Has all the options possible for the year. And your not gonna find an M3 with under 50k miles for less than 30k in the northeast.

Damn, thats nuts. According to www.edmunds.com in my area with every single option checked is 28K (2800 in just options). Goes to show you how different some markets are.

true. BBS makes a nice set of wheels. i dont know if i'd go 19"s though. tire would be crazy expensive. BBs makes a lot of nice 18"s.

18s look too small on a M3 most come stock with 19s now. And i dont ever spin the tires or go to the track so the price is not that much of a factor. They last a while. I had new nitto 555s on my stang when i got it 3 years ago and they still had more than 60% tread on them when i sold it.

I'll prolly just get stock 19" CSL wheels

Congrats on the purchase. I love the M3, however the only thing that would make it better to me is if it sounded nicer. I've heard a couple taking off and I swear it sounded like angry bee's in a can (almost honda-like). Am I the only one who thinks this?

Yeah you are right the stock exhaust doesnt sound the greatest but its not bad by any means.

But i just got the car at 3 today and wow i love it. I cant compare it to a lot of cars ive ridden in. Not by the power or torque straight line, but the feel, handling, stability, interior, options, all stock. Its pretty incredible.
