Solution to Crappy Mustang Headlights

I live next to Upper Saddle River and Saddle River, NJ. They have no streetlights there, it's really truly amazing what a difference it is. Here in NJ that'd be illegal though. You can only have 6 lights on the front of your vehicle.

About 1 year ago, before I owned the Mustang, I had a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT. On my way to work one morning, a Deer came running out into the road in front of me. By the time I saw him, it was too late. $2,800 in damages later, here was the result:

That is why I chose to install these lights on that car and now this one.
I am soooo paranoid about hitting one again, and now, I can see enough so I can react quicker. If it saves me from hitting a deer just ONE TIME, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks because it will be worth it.

hope you dont fry anything, I used to have 4 foglights hooked to one switch in a ranger and fried the switch a few times. I think it looks a little cheesy on the stang.

If you notice in my first post, right after the pictures, you will see that I said I installed a RELAY hooked to my highbeam switch. The power comes directly from the battery and I am only using the highbeam circuit to trigger the relay. Perfectly safe from frying anything. :)

Yes, I am sure they are illegal. I have them installed with a relay tied into my high beam switch.
Once the sun goes down, the MCM Motorsports Mustang provides its own daylight. :nice:

kinda looks like a mustang jack-o-lantern...

Is HID, really better?
OK, I know there is more light.
But it is pointed at the foreground, and off to the side.
Is ... more blue... really better?
Fogs have been traditionally yellow, which is 'no blue'.

IMO, Over the top.
Don't you also run the risk of running hot now that you've effectively closed off the under the bumper radiator air intake?
Closed off? How, it is not sealed, the lights are not big enough under there to obstruct enough air flow to create a problem. Air can flow just fine over, under around and next to each light.

OK, not completely closed off, but restricted...big time.

Be careful Cops may pull you over. I think that is like running with those O/R lights. lol. Good job on the wiring.. but I think it looks horrible. If it works for you... Go with it.
