people will probably tell you to get gears. either 3.73 or 4.10 you can find them on americanmuscle.com of any other parts website. Make sure you get the ffrp gears as well. And install them yourself if you feel brave enough or just get a shop to do it.. all together shouldnt cost more than 500

Get the gears like they said but get what ever brand of tuner your local dyno tuner uses if you ever plan on getting a custom tune, like if you get a blower someday. What year is your car? If its 98 or older get a PI head and intake swap. Even just a pi intake would be worth some ponys. If its newer some mild cams would make a big difference, but then your looking at dyno time too.
Intake/plenum/TB and midpipe are the easy ones. Gears would be the best first step, but most wait. Those who waited will tell you afterwards they would have gotten them first.
Altogether, my whole setup ran me about $800. FRPP 4.10's, all new bearings/seals, SCT programmer, and a buddy put them in. Completely changed the car. Pulls much harder 1-2-3 gears. Kinda kills the speed in 4th (110mph approx). No need to downshift from 5th anymore. Still gets over 20mpg hwy, and city mpg IMPROVED over stock.
