Hello, I am looking to change out my i6 and replace it with a 302..... Here is what has been done:

8 inch rear
5 lug all around
The pic is my spindles... Do these need to be changer out? Does the steering components need to be changed also? Anything else? Just looking for a partial daily driver. No racing or anything like that.

Thank you.

4 lug are 6 cyl. 5 lug are v8 .if your car is a 6 cyl. then you have 4 lug. to change to 5 lug is simple but you will need the full tie rod drag link assembly and pitman arm and idler arm for a v8
EDIT.. your first post says it has 5 lug all the way around so you are already where you need to be.

The previous owner did the 5 lug and 8 inch rear. The steering components under the car are still 6cyl.

the 6 cylinder tie rod ends are smaller than the 5 lug so i would check that out
if they are 6 cylinder on v8 spindles that will not work
