Some convertible top questions

Hi folks. I'm working on a convertible project and have a few questions:

First, can 65-66 sunvisor brackets and windshield moldings fit a 68? I'm not so concerned with how original they are, I just need to know if they can be made to physically fit the windshield frame on a 68.

Second, do the tops from suppliers like cjponyparts, mustangsunlimited, etc., have extra material at the header and rear tack strip end that gets trimmed off or are they pre-cut for an exact fit? I imagine there is extra length to provide for variations between cars, but I need to know about how much extra I can expect. The reason I ask is because I am trying to figure out if I can order a stock top to fit a custom project that requires about two inches extra material at the back.

Thanks.

- most manufacturers usually put anywhere from 4-6 inches at the front of the top that has to be trimmed before adding the front header valance. But i would suggest contacting whichever dealer you do your business through and have them double check with their manufacturer.

I'm having no luck eliminating the last bit of sag between the front and intermediate topframe rails (above the drivers side door). The passenger side sits perfectly level. I've messed with the eccentric at the top end of the balance link on the driver side and that helps a bit, but it doesn't give enough adjustment. Looking at the large hinge that connects the front and intermediate rails (with the top folded down) I see a large standard screwhead on the front side of the back half of the hinge. Is that an adjustment of some sort? It doesn't seem to want to turn and I don't want to torque it too much and break something. Anyone know what the screw is there for?
