Ok so i finally have some time and money to work on the 5.0 and i have a few issues that i am trying to figure out. let me give everyone a lil background....
1988 mustang 5.0 gt conv. bbk air intake, bbk h-pipe no cats and duel flows.

1st prob: when i was driving my stang before, if i drove it for like 30-1hr and got it warm, then parked it and turned off, if i tried to start it again, it wouldn't start. i would either have to pop the clutch to start or wait like 1-2 hrs for it to cool off completely. any ideas?? checked to make sure nothin is overheating.

2nd prob: when i first bought the car, the guy had just put on the intake and when i test drove it he said that if you take off in 1st gear and floor it, the engine will cut to idle for a split second and then be right back on....and it did that when i drove it. so i replaced the pcv valve, throt. body sensor, cap, rotor and plugs. as i drove it more it stopped doing that in 1st gear......but then it started doing it when i made right turns only, id be making the turn and it would drop to idle then 1 sec later as long as i was on the gas and in gear, it would come back and run great. i think it has to do with the air/fuel ratio because of the intake but i dont know what will fix it....a comp chip?? any help?

there are a few more but i will have to try a couple more things before i bother any of you on it. thanks for the help

1st ones sounds like the timming maybe to high or the PIP in the dizzy is going bad.

The 2nd could be a vac leak but i dought it. Dump the code and see what codes it gives you.

The engine would not crank when it got warm or it cranked but would not run?

A problem that only happens when you turn is of two things.
1.) An electrical problem due to bad wiring/ bad connections - turning pulls on the wiring or connectors.

2.) A broken/missing baffle in the fuel tank that allows fuel to move away from the fuel pump pickup.

PIP is/same thing as a hall effect sensor. It tells the computer when to fire the coil.

Shoot jricker a pm on dumping the codes he has a full wright up on doing this.

Good luck
