Have you thought of a way to close up the scoop if needed?

Yesterday before the rain, I removed the scoop, sanded and painted under it then I sealed it on with some RTV gasket maker. Now for the huge gap in the front, I am working on a huge butterfly that will be vacuum operated. I started out using the originial plastic piece but it's too thick and blocks too much of the passage when open. But I've been spending more time on trying to get the car ready to get started and painted first.

Thanks, it isn't good looking yet though lol... It's fun sometimes but seeing other people's Mustangs running around makes me wish I would have just bought one in the first place lol

Yeah but now you can show the work you did,not your money and someone else.I find alot of stangers take the credit for their mechanics work.
