not mechanically inclined so bare with me. my stang motor is stock (82,000 miles), all i have is underdrive pulleys, my question is what would i have to do to supercharge my motor. what i mean is what all is involved, would i have to do anything internally to the motor or anything else???

"Technically" you can install a kit with only the parts supplied. Most come with an FMU so your stock injectors can support the extra power. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of FMU's so I'd go a different route. Consider a 255 intank pump a must, followed by the supplied inline pump (most kits come with a booster pump) then a set of 38# (at the minimum) or 42# injectors. Since this is your first time, I'd recommend having a chip burnt and tuning the car on a dyno. Providing your motor is in good mechanical condition now, it'll live a long life even under boost. After a while you'll get bored of the power and then you can start on the internal mods Good luck.

s/c are fun to install. Get a buddy or two, clear out the garage, start early as shi* in the morning, grab a cooler and get to work. Youll get a lot more street credit for it as well.

Hey MIke (BLING!!) Whats Up!!!

Ol Yeller...WELCOME

You "could" just find a "reputable" shop and just buy the kit and let them put it on and tune it. That will put you in the 310-320 HP range if you dont have any mods now (RWHP)

You could just work on the injectors and fuel pump, etc AFTER the kit, but if you go that route, You would not want to get a custom chip until you are "finished" with those other mods.

Can't an typical HCI get the 5.0 to 300-310? I would have thought a supercharger would net more ...

Yes you can get near 300 with a H/C/I plus exhuast, pulleys and the usually things. These 94/95's never seem to get over 300rwhp with a h/c/i.

You have to remember how restrictive the stock 5.0 heads and intake are. You have a supercharger pushing air through two very restrictive things. With just a swap to a trickflow or edelbrock intake, you would see a huge increase in power.

The dynoshop i was at yesterday, had a car they are playing with.. With just some shorty headers, an offroad h, trickflow intake, and a ati procharger @14#'s of boost (non intercooled) saw 385rwhp... Not bad at all. Of course it had the fuel mods to support the power.
