I dropped my car off this morning at the dealership to get some TSBs looked at:

Freezing e-brake cable
Squeaking brakes
Squeaking steering wheel (No TSB for this)

I just got a call from the shop and they said that the e-brake cable and rear brake pads have been ordered and will be replaced under warranty.

The tech could not hear any steering wheel noise, and asked if I could give any further information. I told him that I usually don't hear it on a cold start. It usually starts after driving a while. Also, I usually only hear it during parking lot speeds, but that could be because road noise drowns it out other times.

Does anyone have any info I can tell them about the steering wheel? They said they'd check it out again.

Also, he did mention that he noticed some clutch pedal squeaking. That was fixed by lubricating the bushing.

go to the dealership and take them for a ride. when the steering wheels starts to squeek, point it out to the tech. when mine squeeks, it is not a little bit and random, it squeeks frequently. my 04 escape also has the squeek, only about 5X worse. the stang is going in tomorrow for a list of warranty work. ill let you know what happens.

Its the rack and pinuin. I know i spelled that wrong. But you get the idea . Tell them to call the tech line they are aware of the problem . My dealership replaced everything clock spring lower steering rod ,some bushing and the steering column before they got smart and called the tech line . It fixed the problem hope this helps
