You are 100% correct, but as I said, since this will be my first stab at DIY tuning/turboing, I'd be less mad ruining a $650 turbo than a $1600 turbo. I can always upgrade housings and cartridges if I feel the need to make 4 digit power numbers, again assuming the motor makes it that long. I have no idea where my learning curve will go with this, haha.Honestly, i would save the money for the billet wheel turbo. even in the last year or two companies have brought turbos a long way and power management and spool time may be much better with the more expensive turbo.

May I ask what size turbo we are talking about here and what your goals are?

6.0 with a good cam. I've been talking indecisively, but what you mentioned is what I need to buy and quit second guessing. And at 639.99 shipped, I can't argue that either.yeah except you actually have a real hotside lol. If your doing a 5.3/cam I would do the standard s475 with the 96mm turbine 1.32 housing. Dont worry too much about the spool time, with the right tuning and cam timing it will light off pretty quick. (I havent read your entire build thread, so dont beat on me too hard lol).
