I couldn't believe this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2486294189&category=6236 It is a nice car, but the reserve is not met at $105,000...

I wouldn't want it like that, but to each his own.

The part I don't get is the $105K starting price with "reserve not yet met"

personally i think it's a little tacky in some places but i give credit where credit is due. as a show car, this thing has everything, but as a daily driver of some sort it's too much. the fog lights are gay, atleast, the installation. recess them in next time behind the mesh... the tail lights are an absolute no no on this car. i mean, why don't you put them on an RUF Porsche while you're at it. i might use those wheels at shows, but i'd put the chrome stocks on there for driving. a little heavy on the carbon fiber as well.... the sound system work and attention to detail though is whack. a lot of time and effort on this one. what's with the $105k?

Surely the NItrous bottle painted body color and signed by Steve makes it worth $105K

I'll agree that 105K is way too much for that car. As to all of the ad-ons IMHO it is a little over the top, but like someone said here to each their own. If he brought the car completely back to stock it would probably be in the 40-45K range, and that is maybe reaching even for a collector.
If you read in his desription that Saleen only produced one S351 in rainbow he is correct. It is a vert with a brand new motor built from the original block making around 650 to the rear wheels. It is in show condition and technically not for sale but I know the guy would entertain offers in the 60K range. Come on the ONLY factory rainbow S351 Vert ever produced on the planet for 65K and the S281 for 105K. Someone stick me in the eye with a pencil now.

Don't forget, at $105,000, the reserve hasn't been met! I think I'll put 'ol 07b on there for 70K or so. It is the only Violet 5-speed vert in the Budget series. That makes it a collector car and worth 70-80 grand right?? (lol, I crack myself up...)

The car was at the 40th,It is a very, very nice car a bit over done in my opinion.
I hope he gets some interest in the car but IMO it is worth alot less due to all the custom work. I tell all my customers who modify cars that you are lucky to get 1/4 of what you put into the car back out of the car. But in most cases{ modifying a real Saleen} it hurts the vale of your car. You limit the sale to those who feel your mods are to there liking.

This was was a custom paint car from Saleen so it does carry a slightly higher price that a std S281,but all the extra stuff on the car makes it not as desirable for a collector.
Hey maybe a sports star porno star or lotto winner will snap it up,you never now with Ebay.

There are two bids. Of course, it is a private auction, so you can't see the bidders. The bid is now up to 105,100, which has not met the reserve price yet. You don't suppose that the idiot selling the car would place bids against his own car below the reserve to make it look like people are interested do you? He must think that people are friggin stupid!!

WTF, something is not right there. Wonder what eBay's commission was on a 130K sale? Could it be worth it for the owner to buy his own car? Why in the heck would someone buy that car for that kind of money. Just think of the kind of car you could buy for 130K!!

Sal

Aaahhh, wait a minute! I just figured it out. The trunk was filled with Cocaine...
