someone tell me to get some gears!

i went to the track this past weekend for the first time in my stang...although my times were struggling there was quite a lot of humitity, and im on bs tires. ran 14.3 @99
question: i was getting to the end of the 1/4 in low 3rd gear like 3-4k rpms, 2nd gear seemed like it was forever. what gears can i possibly have? does this sound right or am i on stock gears?
i thought the guy said it had 3.73's in it when i bought it but it cant be?

With my 3.73's I have to shift into 4th before I reach the end of the 1/4 mile. Back with 2.73's I believe I was right around 3k-4k rpm in 3rd gear just like you.

Dude,you gotta a 14.3 with stock gears,and street tires? WOW,,,Get some DR's first,see how far into the 13's that gets you Then get some gears,373's over stock will get you a real "healthy" time slip

easy way to tell is mark the axle jack up the rear on the dog bone and spin the tire. i cant remeber how many times you spin the tires to how mant times the dot spins is the gear ratio maybe some one can chime in?

Oh thank God! I thought I was the last guy on the planet to have 2.73's. I ordered 3.73's today .

They are 2.73's. Spin the tire one rotation and count how many times the driveshaft turns to confirn it.

Not quite. ~70mph @ 3000rpm in 4th.
