when i upgrade from the stock turbines to the 5lug 17" rims, its going to throw off my speedo i believe. i've searched but no one asked this question. i have plenty of tickets on my record and the last thing i need is a messed up speedo. any one got a suggestion on what would have to be re-configured. i got the right gear for the 3:73's i have in the rear already.

what size tire do u have on the 17s? As long as the overall diameter hasn't changed your speedometer will read correctly

The speedometer will be unaffected from your swap from the 15s.

275/40 would be correct

the stampeed usually follows me...lol. plus i take alot of backroads and drive without other cars around. just a re-assurance to have when driving. plus i like everything to still be functional, especially when someone like my dad or gf drive it, that way i dont have to explain how to drive my car....saves alot of hassle.

plus i pride myself in a job done right...ask alot of questions first, know the possibilities of what could happen, and execute. dont want something i just spent a ton of money on to not work properly

go here and do the calculations and you'll find everything you need to know.

http://www.sccoa.com/faq/speedgr.html

this is a site that deals with autos, so if the right drive gear teeth number isn't one of the choices listed it won't work.

Yep!

I believe the stock tire size is 225/60/15, so that's a diameter of 25.6". If yours are 275/40/17, they're also 25.6". Provided the stock size is what I mentioned, your speedo should be accurate as long as your rear gear/tranny gear match up.
