Something I've noticed in 1 day driving the 04

Every jerk in a Camaro wants to race all of a sudden.
In my other two stangs, they want no part of me, even when I'm sitting next to them at a light messing with them.
Why do the only harass the 04? Maybe they know its easier prey than my other two? Or are they angry that my car doesn't look like a catfish?

I really hope that's not the case...

I was 8 years old in 93 and I know what that car was. And no, I didn't know anyone who had one.

Just for the record, unless you've done a lot of mods to your other two Stangs, the 04' should be the fastest of the three.

The other two each have waaay too many mods to list in 500 characters allowed by my sig.

I drive all three of them and I know the other 2 will eat the 04's lunch. I'm not putting it down or anything, I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't like it, but my other two have plenty of mods and the 04 is the slowest of the 3.

i never get any f-bodies to race anymore, the racing scene around here is pretty much extinct, any remnant LS1 Fbodies are mostly all track-prepped now around here.

Never have anything worth running mess with me.

I can pass LT1 Z28's, SLP packaged SS's and no one even turns a cheek.

Now every redneck in their lifted Z71 and all the bone stock Civics want to roll...?

That's why I sold my Mustang and bought a luxobarge. I used to get everything from Sunfires, to Minivans wanting to try me at the light in the Mustang. It got to be a real PITA, because I just can't say no. Nobody expects a mid-90's Mercury Cougar to be fast, so they leave me alone. They're usually unaware of it's true capabilities unil it's too late.

Ah Ok, just thought I'd check if the other two had any mods b/c it seems a lot of people don't realize that the 302's and 351's have very flat torque curves which make them "feel" faster than the 99' and up Stangs but in reality, they are up to a second slower in the 1/4 mile than the 04'
