Mmmmmmmm... Oil leak.

I know the smell oh so well.

(At least I used to until Kauffman's fixed it!)

nope i havent installed anything since last summer, and ive changed the oil since the smell started ; the level and the oil itself was fine, i would be a little more worried if it made the smell all the time but its only when i drive it hard, any other ideas?

My car would only leak when driven hard due to increased oil pressure. It was only a few drops here and there. Not enough to be detectable by checking the dipstick. Get your beast up on a lift and look for any wetness anywhere.

PCV Valve? Mine leaked when hammering it - I added a new hose (actually the valve itself was fine) and a small hose clamp - problem solved. Ck for oil on the valve cover and bolt holes.

When a car is driven hard the catalytic converters will give off a rotten egg type of stink this is normal, all cars do it. Not sure if this is what you're experiencing but I thought I'd mention it

Sounds like to me you need a new clutch. Since you only experience it during hard driving I think your clutch is slipping at high RPM's. Time for a replacement. Suggest Centerforce clutch.
