Whats up guys, is there an easy way to compress a folder with pictures in it? I have to email them to people and the way they stand, the file is huge!

Any ideas? Or do i have to go through each picture and shrink it?

Another option is Picasa (from Google). I have never used it, but I hear it is a very good picture editor and organizer. Plus it's free.

I must be a winzip idiot cause i couldnt get it to shrink enough. It reduced it by a little...but nothing huge. That site Paul gave is just as quick and easy as winzip.

Nate, you're not a winzip idiot. Winzip can only compress a file significantly when the source is de-compressed (text files and some CAD solid models can zip awesomely). BMP pictures will compress good because they are also a "naturally" decompressed format. JPEGS are already a compressed format, so you can't do much more. Using one of the file re-sizing programs actually re-encodes the image and you can better shrink the file size that way (but you suffer some loss of quality).
