Sorry guys a need help. No one knows squat on the s10 forums. When i start my truck up in the morning it will be fine for the first 30 to 45 mins. At that time it will cut off. It will just completely shut off no hesitation just like i turned the ignition off. If i put it in neutral and let it coast for about 5-10 seconds it will start right back up. After it cuts off the first time it will cut off every mile or so after that.

I believe it is some type of electrical part that is getting heated up. I don't think it is fuel because it startes right back up and does not hesitate.

I replaced the alternator. no help. THank you

What year S10?

If it were a Mustang (I know squat about S10s), I would say that the TFI module is heating up and quitting. Cheap swap if your S10 is so equipped.

I've done some S-10 work, so knowing the year will help. I wont post thoughts unless you have a similar year and trim ('92, 4.3L, etc).

Also, if you think of it sometime, PM me if you find a decent forum. There's one that no matter what you search for gives you 500 pages of crap (the same 500 pages for every search) and one that is ok but hardly gets any volume. I havent found a good one yet.

it is a 99 with the 4.3 vortec

That's too new for me to help - different ignitions, etc AFAIK.
No OBD-II codes getting spit at you?
