You can clamp it. If clamps were not provided then get some from a muffler shop.

Either option will work though.

Yea, i had mine clamped at first and then after shaving it down from going over speed bumps it didn't hold as well so I just welded it.

you can also get the clamps at auto parts stores. I got a 2.25" clamp for around $10 or so at O'Reilly - you might not have them in your area though.

Kinda weird no shops in your area will do it, but most likely it's because of the missing cats. I could see how steep slopes could scrape and cause problems though.

Unless the cross over tube is mishapen and causing a mismatch between the sides, clamping will do just fine. If you have a minor problem with fitment, you may consider picking up a pipe expander to make small adjustments in roundness.

Dont weld it becuse it hooks to the h pipe mounts witch connect to the trany mounts thouse tall 90 rods/flangs in the center of the H pipe will not clear enough for you to take it off if you weld it

Clamp Away!

I would not weld it as it can be handy to have the pipes somewhat seperate for installation and removal. Just be sure to get the right dsize clamp and don't over-do it.

one can use non-crimping band clamps instead.

i clamped mine, but I had to clamp it off of the car, because the pipes would not connect straight on once they were attached to my headers, than i had to use porta power to seperate the h pipe while clamped, to extend and fit my headers, i didnt feel like welding it, waste of time, clamps always work in my opinion
