yep my car has it too. i attribute the noise to not having spring isolators on the shocks. check to see if your car has them on that side. my guess is they are dry-rotted and got pushed out

I might have misunderstood the analogy (while everyone else got it right. :bang: ).

Is this a metallic type noise you're hearing? I didn't think so before (if it is, the strut is likely not the cause).

All the things mentioned can cause a metallic noise - as well as loose/worn wheel bearings, the strut mount, the ball joint, etc.

OEM ball joints have wear indicators IIRC. And you can push and pull on the wheel to see if there's movement (this helps with wheel bearing, tie rod and ball joint checking). Sometimes I'll jack a car up and set it down while listening right then and there to see if I can narrow it down (easier than from inside the car).

Good luck.

the best way to describe the sound is that it sounds like a train it kinda like a clunking noise
i replaced my ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, sway bar bushings and the sway bar links,
i also checked and repacked my front wheel bearings and i still hear the noise.
i also tried to jack the car up and lower it but i get nothing,i took it to a shop and they told me it could be my trailling arms but i dont think thats what it is
thanks for all the help
