Hi there everyone....

Is there a group of Mustang owners that gets together around the South Seattle area? I don't know anyone around here!

Thanks everyone!

haven't heard of any south seattle stang groups in particular. how far south are you? currently the Mustangs in the area are meeting at either Burger Master in Mill Creek or at XXX in Issaquah. both are a good drive, which shouldn't be a problem since the idea is to get out in your car.

i know there are some Tacoma stangs on here... i don't know where they meet though.

you're more than welcome to join up with us on the east side.

Hey! Thanks for the response! I was really thinking that there wasn't anybody around...... I had the fear that everyone was driving Civics around here!!

When do folks get together in Issaquah? Is it an active group?

Thanks for the invite!!

CIVICS!?! *ACK!*
WRX!

last Saturday i went to XXX Burgers in Issaquah. you go east on I-90 to Issaquah, take the front street exit, take a right off the exit and next immediate left at the light. XXX will be on your left about 1/2 a block down. really easy to get to.

Active? i guess it depends on what you mean by active. last meet there were 6 stangs and a pickup. we cruised over to Snoqualmie Falls and then 4-5 of us went to the Seattle Champs (an indoor go-kart place).

it was a fun night.

i personally have been to meets with up to 10 mustangs but i've heard of larger meets.

Thanks again.... It's been getting kind of lonely all alone here in Beacon Hill. It's been fun and challenging dropping the mod motor into my Fox Mustang and it will be nice to hear some fresh ideas about suspension related stuff with a group of locals. Speaking of which....I should have her running soon.

Maybe Cobra brakes here next.....

There would be more Stangs at XXX, but a couple of us have crippled Mustangs right now. I really don't want to show up in my lowered Jeep Cherokee. It just would be out of place!!

Lowered Jeep Cherokee? that's just wrong. it should be on stilts!

usually the XXX meetings get together between 6 and 7 on Saturday evenings. last saturday was my first time there. it was cool to see all the other classic cars.

anyone gonna make it this saturday? like i said before... i'm not going to be there this sat but just curious how big the turnout is going to be.

If you want to drive down to Puyallup, a few of us meet at the Starbucks across from the South Hill mall. There's normally a good showing of 10-15 Stangs.

I could probably make a run down to the South Hill Mall on a Friday.

Could folks let me know when the next XXX Burger or A&W meet will be? That'd be a lot closer for me too

Unfortunately, I have to still fab up the mounts for the transmission crossmember for my modular Fox conversion so she's still up on jacks in the garage. After that I just have to plug in the ECU and VROOM! It'll be weird starting the damn thing the first few times...it'll have the distinctive roar of a 4 valve motor versus the good 'ol 302.

.....for the mean time I'll drive the wife's SVT Focus. Fun times. Especially for riced out Civics.

Thanks all!

Well I wanted to be different....everyone lifts their Jeeps, so I figured try lowering it. It looks pretty sweet!!

but doesn't that kind of negate the 4x4 qualities. cant really take it into the back country and crawl around. (well i guess you literally be crawling around in a lowered jeep)

Yes it does, but I was going for the All-Wheel drive effect. It has the NP242 transfer case, which means I can put it in All-Wheel drive and drive around like that. I am getting an intake, exhaust, header, and a 3 core radiator. Hopefully increase some more horsepower, so I can race around in it. I want to take it to the track with the Mustang.
