South Sound dyno day?

I had no plans to organize this yet, but I see that few Stangnetters attended the dyno up north. Also, I didn't want to step on any toes.

Is anyone interested in a dyno day at Fair Lady Motors in University Place (Between Tacoma and Puget Sound)? I can likely get the same rates as last time on the Mustang Dyno: $30 for the hookup and first pull, $15 one time fee for A/F hookup, $10. per pull thereafter. But for those who came in February, Doug was really good about giving away additional pulls if he felt the first was not perfect. We had a great turnout in marginal weather last time. I was thinking about early in June?

I'm not so sure everyone came away from that session satisfied or willing to go back.

It's fun to get the group together but that was a bit rough.

I'd be up for something like that, If the II is running good, by then. I would like to get a baseline before I rip her apart.

hey you know what im willing to go back once my cars up and running,
i expected my numbers to be a little bit higher but i was still satisfied and
i belive my numbers were accurate enough so all in all im interested to go back to fairlady.

id love to take mine to the dyno for the first time so i'd be interested in anything around here, as bellingham is a little too far for me

I already asked this question, so I'll repeat his answer. Fair Lady Motors is basically a garage-shop. Each row of these shops have a port-a-potty. So the whole set-up is minimalist. If those things don't bother you, it's a good deal. The dyno is set-up as a drive thru so actual dyno procedure works well. However, there's not much room to stand around inside. We had the first dyno day in February which made the conditions unpleasant for some.

there was a little mix up about the nature of power numbers we were putting out too...

i didn't think the outside was too bad... i didn't mind it one bit

yeah i didnt mind it. relatively close to me and i got to meet some sn people.

i would go again, but i dont think im going to dyno my car. i think people left unsatisfied because they got lower numbers then they expected. with the mix-up of mustang dyno and sae dyno.

Ill be there and with some friends to. Had a good time at the last meet and I just might do a pull this time around. Not sure though. A date would help. Got to love the location because it only right around the corner.

I forgot about that. All the numbers were Mustang dyno numbers, though. I don't think he'll make the mistake of promising both types of numbers.

I just want to be pretty sure we can get enough people there to get the lowest rate. We should be able to stand outside this time.

WOw that is what the complaints were about?? Guess they can stay away then leaves more pull time for the rest of us.. Fairlady crew went out of thier way to get things done well and took care of us... Only issues I had was a crappy O2 bung (my install) and the sleet on the way home heh

When you say one time fee for air/fuel hookup.... do they install/weld the bung or do i need to get that installed before the dyno day?

Nevermind, i figured it out...stupid me, brain is working slow this morning Looks like it's time to get a bung welded in.
