I'm doing a AOD to T5 conversion on my 68 coupe with 351W. Will the AOD spacer plate work with the T5? It appears all the holes line up with the exception of the starter bolts. Will I need a new starter? Do I really need a spacer plate?

if the starter holes do not line up it is the wrong plate . A manual plate is different than an automatic plate .if the starter holes do not line up it is also for the wrong tooth fly wheel /flex plate. You will need the proper t5 spacer plate and matching bell housing ,fly wheel and starter , i know the older manual starter is different than the automatic ,so the t5 and aod starter is probably different as well.
