Spacers? needed after lowering?

I was wondering how many of you that have lowered yer stang found it necessary to also add spacers. Does lowering alone look good (1.25" front, 1" rear approx.)? Are spacers necessary? Are spacers advised? I have been told they make alignment difficult and cause additional wear on your tires. True?

Sorry for the multitude of questions (and posts). I am an excited stang owner and looking into various mods, wallet permitting of course.

You don't need spacers. I wouldn't put spacers up front anyways. wouldn't look right. I have 17x9's all the way around on my 04 GT lowered 1.5". I am thinking of putting an 1" spacer on the back just for looks to make it look like a 10" width. But you don't NEED them unless you put to wide of a rim up front with a bad offset.

After my Sportline drop my rear tires were sucked into the wheel well. I got 1" spacers and it made all the difference in the world, I would recommend them. You can see that the wheels sit nicely in the rear wells.

You should get some hubcentric spacers. I lowered mine and the spacers helped the look so much.

i did the sportline and i put in 1in. hubcentric spacers.

I put 1-3/16" spacers on my rear. The car definitely needed them.

You can always "roll" your front fenders so they don't slice up your tires.

I am pretty sure its just rubbing the fender well tho, not metal.
