Spare tire upgrade

This is something I did a while ago but never shared it here. I had to do something with at least one of my extra wheels after I put the 10.5" DD's out back. Had to extend the hold down bolt to get the wheel to stay in place of course. Whatcha think?

i dont even carry mine since i have a cell phone and triple a . just extra weight

Very nice...if I get a flat, I'm doing it myself. Perfect. AAA is good too, but I'll pass. I like the idea of a full size spare. I do use my trunk though

I just dumped mine behind my shed. I too have AAA and a phone. I wouldn't want to be trying to jack my car up on that stupid scissors jack and change a tire somewhere. I'll just sit in my car and wait for the truck, and do it at home safely.

But it does look nice in your case. A few wrinkles in the carpet, but otherwise not bad. See if you can't get a billet hold down nut instead of the plastic one. That would make it a little more dressy.

This reminds me.... I still need to get a cobra spare...

You have a 50/50 chance if you have a flat that it will be on the rears.

Not really. Not that much heavier then the original spare.
