Ok I just bought a 91, 2.3l. The previous owner said it got to where it would die at and idle once in a while then start back up. Then finally it wouldn't start at all.
IT has a DIS with 8 plugs. There is good spark.
There is also good fuel pressure at the rails but the plugs are not getting wet. The timing belt is good. I cannot find the timing marks on the crank.
I took the AIC valve off and cleaned it. It looked good.
What tells the injectors when to fire??
I tried unplugging the MAF, no change.
STUMPED!

does it start and die every time? if you start it and step on the pedal will it stay on until you let off? if you do get it to actualy move will it die at a stop? might be a bad MAP sensor.
