Welcome (to Tech anyhow)!

I think you mean 0.054". And that's about where I'd be (I run 'em a little tight at 0.048").

As you've likely read, some 5.0s dont take to plats too well. Most of us run copper.

Good luck.

Stock Motor. .054 GAP on Autolite No. 25 plugs. Go to Advanced Auto Parts web site. Just select your vehicle and they give you the proper parts for your vehicle. Hope this helps.

If the trans is in gear or park they will spin opposite. If it's in nuetral, they should spin together

Well if it's in gear, you are locking the driveshaft in place so when you spin one tire, the other needs to move the opposite way.

Try it again with the trans in nuetral, and both will spin the same...howver this is not a good way to test if your t-lok is ok. Every open difs will both spin forwards sometimes

hmm....shouldnt do that for the year and model. it should have a posi rear end. see if you can find a tag on the rear end somewhere and post the numbers that are on it. that way we can tell for sure whats inside

ok so jack the rear end up and put the trans in neturel and both rear tires should spin forward... ok but im a little confused and i am NOT very mechanicly inclined. but i thought the fox's had posi rear meaning both tires should spin forward when dumping the clutch or doing a burn out no?

posi-traction....aka trac-lok. puts power to both wheels as long as one isnt spinning. if you dont have a posi, only one wheel gets power and it just so happens that the one getting all the power is the one that is spinning.

You have a limited slip (track lok, posi, etc...) diff with worn out clutch plates, unless someone replaced it with an open diff unit. The plates are slipping allowing only one wheel to spin. Rebuild it with a clutch kit and both wheels should spin evenly.
