Assuming you have a correct year block and heads, Use the specified plugs at the specified gap. Some folks open the gap a little when using an electronic ignition.

I noticed this last change that a wider gap does more bad than good, in my case anyway. I gapped them at .040 because I was told the Pertronix could handle it, but it sux. It takes longer to warm up, and I also notice the performance is not as good. Autolite 45's gapped at .034 should work well for you, it's what I'm going back too.

go from a .035 to a .039, that should give you everything you want

When Using Msd Box You Go Bigger On The Gap.
Read Their Instructions Or Call Their Tech Line.
Its Based On Your Compression Ratio,
Most Cases Its Around .050"

Just buy 2 sets. Gap 1 at whatever MSD says, and gap 1 at stock, and see which one does best for you. You win either way, because you can gap the other set at whatever works best, and have an extra set for next change.

Yes. Gapping it a .035 and so is for weaker ignitions and a higher compression ratio, or boosted apps.
I ran .048
I'd look at Autolite 24's or NGK -6's.

NGK Platinum. Gap them to 0.040, then continue to widen the gap until you get optimum performance.
