So, I'm throwing VT Stage 2 N/A cams into my baby tomorrow, and it occurred to me that I have no idea what kind of spark plugs to put in her. The car has 98,888 miles on it, is daily driven, sees frequent track use, and sees 6,500 RPM often. While longevity isn't critical to me, I'd prefer to have something that's going to deliver ~50,000 miles before needing to be replaced. If you really think I can squeeze 3 more HP out of something that'll only last 12,000 miles, I'll listen. Cost isn't really an issue, especially for $1.50 - $4.00 plugs. I'd consider expensive iridium plugs if you can give me a good reason to use them.
A full list of mods is available in my garage. Of note are of course the Stage 2 N/A cams, a Plasma Booster, and fairly good intake and exhaust, but on stock PI heads. No nitrous.
Despite having spent the past two hours reading over endless threads about the topic, I was never able to forumlate an opinion on what I think would be best for my application. Any advice is appreciated, including what to set the gap at. I'm open to learning why you have a preference for a plug, too, so do please tell.
One last thing, I need them to be something easy to get my hands on here in Dallas. I'm starting the install in about 15 hours, so I need to be able to pick these up from somewhere like Autozone, Napa, O'Reilly, or Pep Boys.
